Smile 2 could be coming soon now that director Parker Finn has inked a new studio deal. The 2022 film, which starred Sosie Bacon as an emergency room therapist who becomes haunted by a disturbing entity appearing in the guise of smiling people, was adapted from Finn's own short film Laura Hasn't Slept. Originally meant to be a Paramount+ release, the $17 million feature was sent to theaters on the back of strong test screenings and became the highest-grossing horror film of the year, earning more than $200 million worldwide.
