Between 2004 and 2009, the Battlestar Galactica reboot took risks in approaches to storytelling, production, and visuals, changing the future of sci-fi in six ways. Battlestar Galactica told the story of a group of humans who survived a war against a race of androids called Cylons. Aboard the Battlestar ship Galactica, the humans go searching for a lost mythical society called Earth. The series used intentionally dated technology, focusing instead on progressive storylines and messaging.
