Gladiator star Russell Crowe reprises his role of Maximus for a quick call that challenges the original movie's betrayal and doubles down on his character's death while Gladiator 2 films. Crowe's role in Ridley Scott's 2000 historical epic saw him take up the sword of a disgraced Roman general who is forced to fight for his life in gladiatorial combat in the coliseum.
